This mod is for minecraft 1.8.9 and you need to have forge 11.15.1.1760+ installed. 

Install Just Enough Items (JEI) to see all recipes ingame.

This mod currently adds:

• heated obsidian furnace
• obsidian tools
• obsidian armor
• pumice ore
• pumice
• pumice hammer

We add new stuff frequently!

Obsidian tools are faster, meaner, enchant better, but you will need to work for them. They last a lot more than iron tools, but bit less than diamond ones.

Obsidian armor has diamond level protection, enchants better. It lasts a bit less than diamond armor, but equipping the whole set gives you immunity to fire (and lava)!

Heated Obsidian Furnace can utilize the internal heat of the heated obsidian and cook items without fuel! The heat is not very strong, so cooking without fuel takes 4x longer than regular furnace.

Add fuel to it and it cooks 1.5x faster than the regular furnace. This added speed and internal heat eats away at the fuel at 2x the regular rate.

The furnace also looks very cool! =)

I have the mod installed and I loaded up minecraft. Now what?

Let me guide you through the basics:

First thing you should do is go below y level 20 and search lava pools for this ore:

This will net you some pumice.

Your newly found pumice can be crafted into a pumice hammer:

Next go get some obsidian and throw it into a furnace. This will magically turn the obsidian into heated obsidian:

Now craft together the heated obsidian and pumice hammer to get obsidian shard:

If you want your obsidian to cool back down:

 You need to explore the rest for yourself!
