Description

🔥 Just Enough Fire (JEF)

Ever got annoyed by the massive fire texture blocking your entire screen while you are just waiting for it to go out? Just Enough Fire (JEF) is a lightweight Quality of Life (QoL) mod that fixes exactly this problem.

Instead of staring at a static fire overlay, JEF dynamically adjusts the fire on your screen to reflect how much time you have left before you stop burning.

Features

  • Dynamic Fire Height: The fire overlay slowly slides down your screen as your fire timer runs out. You will instantly know when you are about to stop burning.
  • Smooth Fading: The opacity (alpha) of the fire smoothly decreases alongside its height, giving a satisfying "burning out" effect.
  • Client-Side Only: This mod only modifies your screen rendering. You can use it on any vanilla multiplayer server without the server needing to have it installed!

Compatibility

  • Mod Loader: Fabric
  • Minecraft Version: 26.1 (and compatible minor updates)
  • No additional dependencies required (other than the standard Fabric API).

Why "Just Enough"?

Because it leaves just enough fire on your screen to let you know you are burning, without ruining your gameplay and visibility during intense combat or exploration!
