Fork of toni's Sodium Options API 1.0.10, reworked as a Sodium 0.8+ compatibility shim for 1.21.1 NeoForge. Keeps the API classes so dependent mods load. All credit to toni (txnimc), the original author.

Description

K1NGANG0RR0T's Sodium API

A fork of Sodium Options API 1.0.10 by toni (txnimc). All credit for the original mod goes to toni. This fork exists because Sodium 0.8 changed how options screens work.

Fork details

  • Forked from: Sodium Options API 1.0.10
  • This version: 1.1.0-k1ng.fork-1.0.10
  • Loader: NeoForge 1.21.1, Sodium 0.8+
  • Mod ID: sodiumoptionsapi (unchanged, so mods that depend on it keep loading)

What is different from the original?

Sodium 0.8 replaced its options GUI with a native config API. Every mixin in the original targeted classes that no longer exist, which made the game crash on startup. This fork removes those mixins and keeps the API classes, so mods that depend on Sodium Options API still load.

Important: on Sodium 0.8 the old Sodium Options API events no longer fire. This is a compatibility shim, not a working copy of the old API. Mods that want to add options pages should use Sodium's own ConfigEntryPoint. For pages for Continuity, Dynamic FPS and Entity Texture Features, see K1NGANG0RR0T's Sodium Mod Options.

The version is 1.1.0 or higher on purpose: K1NGANG0RR0T's Sodium Options only blocks Sodium Options API below 1.1.0.

Requirements

  • Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge
  • Sodium 0.8+
  • Optional: K1NGANG0RR0T's Sodium Options

Credits and original project

The original also draws on code from Reese's Sodium Options by FlashyReese and Embeddium; their license notices are kept in the jar.
