Description

Kalendra's Bane is the companion mod for the Latest Shift modpack. It is required on both the client and the server.

Loneliness: playing far away from your friends slowly builds a hidden loneliness that brings escalating debuffs; playing near them suppresses the effects and slowly heals it. Rushing ahead while the rest of the group sleeps banks a debt. The server is authoritative; the client only shows a small status icon.

Distant terrain syncing: streams the server's Distant Horizons terrain data to joining players so the far horizon appears quickly, and keeps it up to date as they explore.

Performance: a set of client rendering and tick fixes (texture animation uploads, Iris/BSL passes, Distant Horizons buffer work) that reduce stutter without changing how anything looks. Each fix can be switched off with a -Dkalendrasbane.* system property.
