The God's Pickaxe is the strongest! It can kill any enemy with almost one hit! It's a multi-tool, so it can break blocks quickly.
You have to defeat Kami! Kami appear from spawn eggs, etc. They are strong, so be careful!
The only prerequisite mod is Forge!
