About
Description
A simple and configurable mod which causes the player to retain their tools and armour upon death, while still dropping other items like normal and optionally damaging the tools you kept. A list of every item you lost will be sent to the chat, as well.

This mod works by simply turning 'keepinventory' to true, and dropping selected items when the player dies. This means the mod will most likely not work with most gravestone, corpse, etc mods. If you really want I can add optional grave functionality. :-)
The list of items kept on death can be easily modified through a datapack. To do this you can simply change the item tag "keepmytools:retained_on_death", which is a list of what not to drop when the player dies.
The mod will force the gamerule 'keepinventory' to true. This is necessary for the mods functionality, and so cannot be changed.
Feel free to use this in modpacks!
