Knives, Knives, Knives!

The bug that I thought was in the mod preventing use of Optifine is actually just a bug in Optifine itself. Optifine is able to load on it's own, but with other mods, it crashes. To solve this, you must download Optifine specifically from Optifine.net as any third-party downloaders and websites can mess up Optifine in various ways.

This modification for Minecraft 1.14.4 adds in a new weapon type, knives. These knives are much better than their bigger and weaker counterpart, swords, because they can swing much faster and do a bit less damage to compensate. Instead of two full ingots (and in diamond's case, full gem), you use one full ingot and the material's nugget. Since diamond doesn't have a nugget, I added in the diamond shard. Also, there is another gem material that I added in known as electrin. It is much stronger than diamond and also has it's own shard, so you can have a knife of that material too. To turn the shards back into their gem, you have to make a separate item, glue. When crafting a shard, you only get 8, that way you don't have an extra shard around that can be duped over and over. More metals will be added into this mod and an expansion may be made for mods such as the Thermal series or IndustrialCraft.
