Kray's Magic Candles

Introduction

Prepare yourself to take on the vast world of Minecraft with your very own...candles! Wait, Candles? That sounds kind of lame! Well these are no ordinary candles you see, these are magical candles! Not only can you use them as light sources, but you can use them to cast and craft very power rituals, runes, wands, and more powerful candles. This mod adds 12 magical candles, 17 various colored candles, 6 powerful wands, 5 Magical Rituals, Magical Runes, altars, statues, crops, candle making, and so much more! All Magical Candles can be lit and extinguished for some very cool effects and uses. This mod also adds in capturable souls. By killing various mobs using a cursed blade, you can capture the souls of any mob and use their souls to cast spells on them. So, not only can you use the candles for your own personal magic, but you can light them with souls to use them on certain mob types. This mod also adds powerful Wraiths that will spawn depending on how you or a villager dies in the world. (Try capturing these in soul lanterns to use them in a powerful ritual.) Finally, this mod adds Redstone and Dispenser capabilities for lighting candles, as well as possible uses in other mods. 

Development

This mod has been in development for 8 months and was a monumental task to complete. I started working on it in early October 2020 and it has come a long way since the initial concept was created. After developing solo for about a month, I showed the mod to my friends and they too wanted to join in and help. I definitely owe a lot of credit to Calemi though. He stepped in and helped me learn a lot more about modding, so this mod would not be what it is today without him. He also has several mods that he has released and I definitely recommend you go and check them out. The lingering question now is what do I do next? Well, this mod is still in active development. I have a lot of big ideas for the systems I want to add in next, but they are too large scale and need to be tested first. That's why I am releasing this version now, with many planned updates on the way! So be sure to stay tuned! If you have your own suggestions or bugs please submit them by clicking the "Issues" tab and submit one! This mod is early in development, so expect some bugs and incompatibility. Hopefully, with some time, those bugs will be fixed.
