Description
Kuchiyose: Summoning Contracts
Tame any mob. Summon it as your companion. Level it up through battle.
Kuchiyose is a summoning mod that lets you form contracts with almost any creature in Minecraft — vanilla mobs, modded creatures, even bosses. Once contracted, your companion fights alongside you, gains experience, and grows stronger over time.
---
✦ Features
Contract any mob
Weaken a creature below 5% HP (or 10 HP, whichever is higher), then right-click it with a Kuchiyose Scroll. There is a 1/3 chance to form a contract. On success, the scroll is consumed and replaced with a Contract Scroll bound to that creature.
Already-tamed vanilla mobs (wolves, cats, parrots, horses) can be contracted instantly without weakening them.
Summon & recall
Use the Contract Scroll or the **radial menu** (default `R`) to summon or recall your companion. Each summon/recall plays a smoke effect and sound.
- Summoned pets follow you, defend you, and attack your enemies
- Recalled pets are stored in the scroll, regenerating health over time
- Pets are protected from fatal damage — they auto-recall instead of dying
Level & quality
Pets gain EXP from kills and level up. Each level grants 2 stat points to allocate into HP / ATK / SPD. Quality (D → C → B → A → S → SS → SSS) is rolled on taming and can be upgraded with Enchanted Diamond Apples.
| Quality | Stat Multiplier | Upgrade Chance |
|---------|-----------------|--------------------|
| D | 1.3× | 35% |
| C | 1.6× | 25% |
| B | 2.0× | 15% |
| A | 2.5× | 8% |
| S | 3.2× | 4% |
| SS | 4.0× | 1% |
| SSS | 5.0× | — |
Affinity system
Each kill your pet participates in grants affinity with its owner. Higher affinity improves your priority when multiple players share a contract.
Contract sharing
Contract Scrolls can be shared with other players. Right-click a scroll to join the contract, or sneak-right-click to leave it. All contractors can summon and recall the same pet.
Encyclopedia GUI
Press `K` to open the Kuchiyose Encyclopedia — a full management screen showing all your contracted pets, their stats, level, quality, affinity, and available stat points.

✦ Controls
| Key | Action |

| `K` | Open Kuchiyose Encyclopedia |
| `R` | Open radial summon menu (hold to select, release to summon) |
| Right-click pet with empty hand | Cycle mode: Follow / Stay / Free |

---
✦ Compatibility
- Minecraft: 1.12.2 and 1.20.1 (Forge)
- No dependencies — works standalone
- Works with modded mobs — any creature extending `Mob` can be contracted
- Boss mobs supported — Wither, Elder Guardian, Warden, and modded bosses can be contracted. Some bosses with heavily custom AI (e.g. Ender Dragon) may not follow and fight as reliably as regular mobs
---
✦ Known limitations
- Boss mobs that override their AI system may not follow the player like regular pets
- Mobs with hard-coded damage immunity may require multiple recall attempts
- Pet combat relies on the mob's native attack logic; some modded mob may still attack player.
