About
Description
There are plenty of other Backrooms mods out there. LudoCrypt's, Gargin's, SpacePotato's... but mine is different.
My Backrooms mod has 6 levels complete, and I am adding more and more. My entities are complex and cannot be stopped by simply pillaring up. I am making my own OST of music for my mod to add to the ambience. My Backrooms are not something to escape. They are something to accept. I do not plan on adding an easy escape. There may be an escape, but it is better to accept your fate. The walls of my Backrooms can be torn down. You can craft things. Make things. You don’t just wander and run from things. You eke out an existence, and try not to have it torn down. My Backrooms are psychological.
In this mod, as you walk around the Overworld, you will notice that something is... off. A block's texture might repeat in an ugly way. The lighting might look weird. When you touch these objects, you will slip out of reality and into a strange place.
Which you are unlikely to ever leave.
Levels
Each level is unique, from the strange, perfect serenity of the Poolrooms to the oddly comforting darkness of the Baywalk. These diverse environments are connected by a variety of entrances and exits that take a variety of different forms. But beware not to linger; nowhere is really, truly safe.
Entities
My entities aren't just a bunch of GeckoLib models that chase you around. Mine are different. For one, they spawn differently. They spawn only occasionally rarely, and when they do spawn, they spawn near you, but just out of your sight. I have a wide variety of entities. They can exhibit complex behaviors; the Troglosidae are procedurally animated, the Smilers can become incorporeal to phase through blocks you might place behind you to stymie it, the Dullers make you hallucinate, making you think you're somewhere you aren't, and making you see things out of the corner of your eye, and more. You can't pillar up. You can't fight back. You just run. Learned helplessness, Wanderer. Accept your fate.
Objects
Do not worry, my Backrooms are not endless terror. There are strange and beautiful moments, as well as absurd ones. As an example, take the random, strange items. Chocolate Sludge, Almond Water, Portable Purifiers; they do things. Strange things you wouldn't expect. I won't say how they work.
Sanity
Stay sane, Wanderer. Keep drinking Almond Water. Keep resting. Don't go seeing things that your brain cannot handle. Otherwise, things may happen to you.
Ok but in all seriousness, I have this really complicated sanity system. Your sanity goes up and down due to a variety of factors, such as where you are, your diet, and even stuff like if you have flowers or other certain items in your inventory.
