Welcome to Laikocraft! Laikocraft is a mod created to provide a clean, secular (non-magical) Minecraft experience. Our main goal is to remove or adapt vanilla mechanics, items, and entities associated with magic, the occult, or spiritism, replacing them with immersive, technology-and-science-themed alternatives.

This mod is perfect for players looking for a more realistic, engineering-driven gameplay environment, or those with personal/religious conscience restrictions who still want to enjoy Minecraft's full complexity!

⚙️ A Scientific Approach to Vanilla

We have completely overhauled the magical aspects of the game into a tech-based system:

• Calibration Table: The Enchanting Table has been remodeled into a modern technical panel.

• Synthesis Station: The Brewing Stand features a brand new UI and textures. Potions are now called Tonics.

• Technical Manuals: Enchanted Books and the entire enchantment system have been renamed to reflect engineering upgrades and shielding.

• Employment Card: The Totem of Undying has been reimagined as a valuable official document that guarantees your permanence in the "job" (life).

• Automated Cleanse: Unrealistic or "cursed" enchantments are automatically stripped from items in your inventory.

• Entity Filtering: Mobs with mystical or undead ties (such as Witches, Zombies, Skeletons, Ghasts, and Evokers) are actively prevented from spawning in the world.

🌽 New Agriculture: The Corn System

To breathe more life into your farms, Laikocraft introduces a fully functional Corn crop system!

• Seeds: Break tall grass or ferns for a 5% chance to drop Corn Seeds.

• Growth: Watch your crops grow through 8 distinct, beautifully pixel-arted stages.

• Bountiful Harvest: Similar to carrots, fully grown crops drop multiple corn cobs (affected by Fortune!).

• Culinary Arts: Eat corn raw, or roast it in a furnace/smoker for better nutrition.

🛠️ The Colossal Workbench (5x5 Crafting)

Laikocraft introduces a massive new crafting station featuring a 25-slot (5x5) grid for complex recipes!

• Pamonha: Craft this incredibly nutritious and traditional Brazilian food by wrapping Corn, Sugar, and Milk in Hay Blocks.

• Hardcore Endgame Recipes: Since magical boss drops are disabled, highly valuable items like the Employment Card and the Nether Star can now be crafted through very expensive, late-game 5x5 recipes.

• JEI Support: Fully compatible with Just Enough Items (JEI) for easy recipe viewing!

🧸 Cozy Decorations

Looking to decorate your base? Use wool and string to craft adorable Wolf and Bee Plushies! They feature custom 3D models and can be placed facing any direction to make your home feel a bit more comfortable.

Note: This mod requires Forge 1.20.1. Just Enough Items (JEI) is highly recommended to easily check the new 5x5 recipes!
