✦ The Skywrights

Long ago, the Skywrights lived among the highest mountains, gazing into the heavens and believing the stars were ancient, living beings. Through their mastery of crystal lenses and polished mirrors, they learned to capture starlight and use it to power their cities, floating structures, and Astral Sentinels.

But their hunger for light grew.

When the stars no longer provided enough, the Skywrights attempted the impossible: they would bring a star down from the sky.

Their great machine succeeded.

The star was torn from the heavens and crashed into the earth, creating the Hollows. But the star was already dying. Instead of giving light, it began to consume it. Those who witnessed its fall were hollowed out, becoming the wandering Hollowed, while fragments of the dying star became strange creatures and the darkness left behind took on a life of its own.

The Skywrights vanished, leaving behind ruined observatories, forgotten vaults, abandoned machines, and warnings etched into stone.

Now, the player must descend into the Hollows and uncover what happened to the civilization that reached for the stars.

At its deepest point lies the Fallen Heart — the crater where the star still remains.

And something inside it is still alive.

✦ The Fallen Heart

Deep beneath the earth lies the corpse of the star that destroyed the Skywrights.

Its fading consciousness has become the Eclipsed — not a creature of evil, but a dying star torn from the sky, desperately consuming light to survive.

Defeat it, and its suffering finally ends.

From its remains, you will obtain the Heart of a Star — a small fragment of the star at peace, glowing gently with the light it once fought so desperately to keep.

This is my first attempt to make a mod with lore i hope you all enjoy it.
