Description
🎨 Leiv's GUI Engine
Leiv's GUI Engine is the visual rendering framework and interface library of the Leiv Ecosystem Suite.
While Leiv's API handles the logic and Leiv's Translation API manages the text, this library powers everything you actually see on screen. It is a highly optimized, cross-loader system designed to render dynamic HUDs, interactive configuration menus, and responsive tooltips. It ensures that mods like Keybind Profiles and ItemCuller have beautiful, highly customizable, and consistent user interfaces across all mod loaders.
⚠️ PLAYER NOTE: This is a required core dependency for user interface and HUD-driven mods within the Leiv Ecosystem. It does not add standalone content to the game, but must be installed alongside any of my utility mods to display their overlays and menus correctly!
✨ Key Features
- 🎨 Modular HUD System: Features a dynamic HUD anchor system that allows mod overlays to be easily toggled on/off and snapped to any corner of the screen (Top-Left, Bottom-Right, etc.).
- ✨ Consistent Visual Identity: Ensures all mods within the ecosystem share the same polished, high-performance UI design.
- 🚀 Lag-Free Rendering: Highly optimized draw calls ensure that complex on-screen overlays and menus never impact your frame rate (FPS).
- 🧩 Interactive Tooltips: Seamlessly integrates with Leiv's Translation API to display dynamic, data-driven tooltips instantly when hovering over settings.
🛠️ Technical Highlights (For Developers & Modpack Creators)
Leiv's GUI Engine abstracts complex, loader-specific screen drawing routines into a developer-friendly pipeline:
- 🖥️ HudAnchor Abstraction: A centralized positioning utility that automatically calculates dynamic X/Y coordinates based on
Window/ScaledResolutionsizes and user configurations. - ⚙️ Rule-Driven Menus: Automatically translates
ValueRule<T>configuration objects from Leiv's API into fully interactive buttons, sliders, and toggles without requiring manual UI coding. -
📦 Cross-Loader UI: Provides a unified rendering pipeline that completely abstracts the differences between Forge, NeoForge, and Fabric's GUI screens.
- 🪟 Safe Screen Injection: Safely hooks into the game's native render thread to inject custom HUD overlays and configuration screens cleanly and compatibly.
🔗 Dependencies
This library brings the underlying logic of the ecosystem to life on your screen:
- Requires: Leiv's Lib, Leiv's API & Leiv's Translation API (Make sure they are installed!)
- Used By: Leiv's Config Menu, Keybind Profiles, ItemCuller, EnderStash, Sneak Auto Crop, and all other GUI-enabled Leiv Ecosystem mods.
