Description

There are other cool light detection mods out there that paint indicators or numbers on blocks to help you see the light level of the area. I wanted to create a mod that does similar, but is more vanilla friendly and less visually distracting.



The light detector calculates the light level of the block you're standing on and converts it to a display dial on the item, similar to the clock. It will also show the light level in the tooltip. There is also a monster indicator on the item which will alert you if the light level can spawn monsters.
