Description

This mod is a remake/reimagined version of my old mod: Simply Progress

Thanks for 100 Downloads! (2024/12/14)

Version: 1.20.1 Forge

Welcome to the first installment of Lightly Tweaked, a mod series based around small gameplay improvements and Vanilla+ versatility. This installment tweaks our favorite hellish dimension: The Nether!

FEATURES:

NETHER IRON ORE

Nether Iron Ore now generates, dropping Iron Nuggets when mined.

PLATINUM

Netherite ingots can no longer be crafted normally. Instead, you must smelt Netherite Scrap a second time IN A BLAST FURNACE SPECIFICALLY. This will give you Platinum Nuggets, which can be combined in fours to make a Small Platinum Ingot, or in nines to make a regular Platinum Ingot. A single Small Platinum Ingot replaces the four Netherite Scraps in the Netherite Ingot recipe.

PLATINUM GEAR

Platinum can be made into tools and armor! Although this gear has very high durability, damage, and protection, higher even than Netherite, it comes at a cost. Not only does it have very low attacking and mining speed, it also can only break blocks on the same level as an Iron tool. In addition, wearing any piece of Platinum Armor gives you Slowness.

INFERNAL STEEL

Infernal Steel is a new material, made with Iron, Gold, and Blaze Powder. It can also be made into equipment. Infernal Steel equipment is slightly worse than Diamond, but has high Attack Speed, and the Infernal Steel Armor grants its wearer Speed II. To compensate, the weapons deal FAR less damage and the armor also grants Glowing V.

THE FIRE TALISMAN

The Fire Talisman is crafted with an Emerald, Infernal Steel, and Blaze Powder. When in your inventory, it grants Fire Resistance.
