# LocalBoost

LocalBoost is a lightweight server-side Forge mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 and Forge 47.4.2.

It is designed for Minecraft servers running on the host computer, including integrated servers and locally hosted dedicated servers.

## Features

- Automatically activates on integrated servers
- Supports dedicated servers with an opt-in setting
- Configures server view distance
- Configures simulation distance
- Reports average server tick time
- Counts slow ticks to help identify performance issues
- Does not add blocks, items, mobs, or gameplay content
- Designed to work alongside Forge modpacks

## Configuration

After the first launch, settings are created in:

config/localboost-common.toml

Available settings include:

- `mode`: `AUTO`, `ALWAYS`, or `NEVER`
- `view-distance`: Server view distance
- `simulation-distance`: Server simulation distance

Use `AUTO` for integrated servers, `ALWAYS` for a dedicated server hosted locally, or `NEVER` to disable LocalBoost without removing it.

LocalBoost is currently built for Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge 47.4.2.
