About

Description

Loot geodes adds tiny geodes that generate underground similarly to ores. They function similarly to breakable pots found in many other mods, with one important change. Rather than dropping all of their loot when mined, they instead drop chunks. These can be thrown as a projectile, and will burst into loot when hitting a block. This way, your inventory won't be completely filled during cave explorations.

By default, geodes contain ores and rarely enchanted books, golden apples and their respective shards. Nether geodes also contain materials such as blaze powder and obsidian.

  • Overworld geodes
Overworld geodes Rather than cluttering up your inventory, small geodes will drop chunks which can be thrown like a snowball to break them open.
  • Nether Geodes
Nether Geodes Geodes can be found in both the overworld and the nether, with nether geodes containing unique loot. Overworld geodes generate below sea level, while nether geodes generate at any y level.
  • Geode Shards
Geode Shards Alongside their vanilla drops, both kinds of geodes have a rare chance to drop a shard. Dream shards can be used to duplicate a given material. Molten shards can be used to transform more common ores into rarer materials.
  • Explosive Geodes
Explosive Geodes If, for some reason, you don't want the loot contained within these geodes, you can stuff them with TNT instead. ...Just don't throw them near anything important.
