Description

Loot Purifier

Take control of your world's progression by removing unwanted vanilla gear from generated loot!

Loot Purifier is a lightweight and highly configurable mod designed for modpacks that want better control over item progression. Instead of finding outdated vanilla weapons, tools, and armor inside dungeon chests, villages, structures, and other loot sources, those items can be replaced with useful materials of your choice.

Perfect for modpacks using progression systems such as Tinkers' Construct, Loot Purifier helps prevent players from skipping intended crafting paths while keeping exploration rewarding.

Features

⚔️ Remove Vanilla Equipment From Loot

  • Wooden tools

  • Stone tools

  • Leather armor

  • Chainmail armor

  • Iron gear

  • Golden gear

  • Diamond gear

🔧 Fully Configurable Replacements
Every item can be individually customized.

Example:

minecraft:iron_sword=minecraft:iron_ingot,1,2

A found iron sword can become 1-2 iron ingots instead.

📁 Organized JSON Configuration
The configuration file uses easy-to-edit grouped sections, allowing you to customize:

  • Which items are removed

  • What they are replaced with

  • Minimum and maximum replacement amounts

🧱 Designed For Modpacks
Loot Purifier is ideal for modpacks that:

  • Remove vanilla progression paths

  • Add custom crafting systems

  • Use technology or magic progression

  • Want exploration rewards without unwanted gear

Configuration

Your configuration can be found at:

config/lootpurifier.json

Each replacement follows this format:

item_to_remove=item_to_replace,min_amount,max_amount

Example:

minecraft:diamond_pickaxe=minecraft:diamond,2,3

Important Notes

  • Loot changes apply to newly generated structures and unexplored chunks.

  • Existing chests that have already generated will not be changed.

  • Always make backups before changing configuration in an existing world.

Why Loot Purifier?

Many modpacks introduce new progression systems but still leave vanilla equipment scattered throughout generated structures. Loot Purifier gives pack creators the ability to keep exploration exciting while maintaining their intended balance.

Remove the clutter. Preserve progression. Purify your loot.
