About
Description
Are you tired of having to make a cow farm just for bookshelves, or needing to hunt generations of chickens for a singular feather!?! Well, this is the datapack for youuu!
The main farm animals have all had their lootables slightly changed to fit them into niches or make each of them stand out a little more, not just for their food.
Pigs
Pigs now drop 1-4 porkchops instead of 1-3 on death. Pigs should be focused for their food since they dont have much else going for them. While I'd like to make them instead make 2-3 piglets when breeding, this works fine. In the future I might make hoglins drop way extra porkchops to make going hunting in the nether a good strategy if you need food quickly.
Cows
Cows now drop 1-4 leather guarenteed on death instead of 0-2. And they also drop EITHER 0-2 beef or a piece of leather on death. So their meat is rarer, but they can drop up to 5 leather on death(and more with looting). This should also make getting books easier since you'll probably have extra spare leather around, to get started with the enchanting progress. And maybe make leather armor a thought early game if you can't find copper.
Sheep
Sheep now only have a 33% chance to drop their wool when killed, instead of alway dropping it. This means killing a couple sheep isn't alway the greatest choice for a bed. Shears still give their usual amount of wool, so you could either spend the day hunting sheep or spending 2 iron on shears for a guarenteed bed. They still drop the same amount of meat though.
Chickens
Chickens now drop 1-4 feathers guarenteed on death instead of 0-2. This should make getting their feathers less of a hassle. And maybe plug up your chicken farms with feathers, if you really want alot of food maybe switch to pigs ehh ehhh?
Hoglins
Did you know hoglins are breedable with crimson fungi? They drop 4-11 porkchops now(instead of 2-4, might nerf later). They also drop 1-3 leather (instead of 0-2). This makes it nice to go hoglin hunting if you really need food. Also makes farming them an actual practice if your a growing boy that needs alot of food.
Zoglins
If i'm gonna change Hoglins, I gotta change Zoglins. They drop 3-8 rotten flesh and 2-6 bones. Might be good for something? I was thinking of giving them a rare unique drop but I didn't know what.
Thats it for now, there probably wont be much else added to the datapack. Maybe a couple other mobs will have their drops changed but these are the main ones I thought could use some extra thought. Try it out, tell me if you like it , Or dont cuz theres no comments or well put it on the github, and have fun!
