Description
Named or enchanted items that despawn in the Overworld will wash away and end up in the world's bodies of water, where they can be recovered by fishing. Certain other items are also preserved. By default, items with durability may be recovered with up to half their remaining durability lost.
All aspects of the mod are configurable, including which kinds of items are captured by the system, the chance to recover one with each fishing attempt, and the odds and severity of items being damaged.
Additionally, the mod adds the tag "lost_found:must_save", which flags certain kinds of items as always protected, even if not renamed or enchanted. By default, this includes:
- The Dragon Egg
- Nether Stars
- Elytras
- Music Disks
There is also a "lost_found:no_save" tag that will prevent items from being protected, even if they are renamed or enchanted (or on the other tag list). By default, this includes Name Tags and Player Heads.
The mod also adds a selection of commands to manage the lost item queue: /lost-fished peek, /lost-fished retrieve, /lost-fished discard top, and /lost-fished discard all. Their functions are self-explanatory.
