You're looking around in a cave, hoping to find some diamonds, when you come across a strange ice structure. It appears to be a portal of some type, but looks far different from the basic end portal or nether portal. It's made in the shape of a nether portal, but it's made out of packed ice, and lit with what looks like icy water. You step in, and discover a new dimension you've never seen before. It appears that all civilization is dead, and everything is frozen over and made of ice. The only somewhat living creature you can see are these small moving ice blocks, which are about the size of a baby slime. They appear to not attack or chase, but will fight back when you get too close. Suddenly, your jaw hangs open as you realize, you have just discovered, the legendary, Lost Dimension.

The Lost Dimension mod is a mod that adds a brand new dimension to Minecraft, known as the Lost Dimension. There, everything is made of ice, and the only life form is a small slime creature called a Frosty Figure, which looks like a fragment of packed ice. They do not attack you unless you can near, and even then they do not chase or follow as they are too weak to move.

You cannot sleep in the Lost Dimension as you would inevitably freeze to death. You can access the Lost Dimension by making a nether portal, using packed ice as a frame and an ice shard to light it. An ice shard can be obtained by putting a block of ice in a stone cutter. Thereby allowing you, to enter the Lost Dimension.
