🌟 Welcome to the 8th installment of the UpdateMize series! 🌟

Today I present to you - a mod that recreates the Minecraft Live 2026.3 features - the Ice Caves, Ice Crystals, Icicles, Ice Ball, Freezing Potion, and Frozen Zombie!

🎥 Minecraft Live recap! 🎥

Minecraft Live teased some awesome things! You can now find the Ice Caves underground! The caves are full of ice crystals and icicles, which add a lot of atmosphere! But be careful - since the icicles can melt if there's light too close to them!

In the Ice Caves, you can find the Frozen Zombie! When it hits you, you get the new Freezing potion effect, which acts like powdered snow - making you slower, adding a freezing overlay, and lowering your health. But, it also drops the new Ice Ball projectile - which can be used as a brewing ingredient for the Freezing Potion, so you can make it yourself!

Additionally, some can spawn with the Ice Ball in hand. It acts like a snowball - except it actually deals damage!

Once again, I have recreated all the features inside of the game early! Under no circumstance is this series ending - so here comes UpdateMize o8!

• The Ice Caves biome!
• New Ice Crystal and Icicle blocks!
• The Icicle acts like dripstone!
• Icicles can melt if light is too close to them!
• Ice Ball projectile!
• Frozen Zombie variant!

✨ Mod Information! ✨

You can see info about the mod's mechanics in-game by typing /updatemize in-game! This info is below as well:

New Stuff:

• Added Ice Caves biome!
• Icicles and Ice Crystals spawn in the Ice Caves!
• Added Frozen Zombie variant!
• Added the Ice Ball, which is dropped by the Frozen Zombie!
• The Ice Ball is throwable like a Snowball, and deals damage!
• Frozen Zombies can spawn holding the Ice Ball, and even throw it!
• Added Potion of Freezing, with Splash, Lingering, and Arrow versions!
• All of the above are 100% accessible in Survival Mode!

Some notes:

• The Ice Ball deals a fixed base damage value of 1 heart.
• The Arrow of Freezing cannot be obtained in Survival.

⚡ UPDATEMIZE IS SAVED! ⚡

We thought that UpdateMize wouldn't actually work out. In our friend groups, we usually anticipate every Minecraft Live, and what might come with it. But we also take a good look at what we can do to make UpdateMize actually work.

A big limitation of UpdateMize is the latest version that MCreator supports. For o4, o5, and o7, we were lucky for MCreator to be on the latest version of the game while we were developing the mod. But this time, we weren't so lucky. We thought we had no way out of this - but gladly, one of our friends came to help us.

We want to thank membercatcousin, for making his very own MCreator fork, CraftReator - which is made to support Fabric 26.3! CraftReator was made specifically for UpdateMize, and we are insanely thankful towards Member for helping us continue the series.

This UpdateMize also wouldn't be possible without help from Awsome_Creeper9. They helped us a lot with some of the logic - we worked together on a good amount of the logic for the mod, and they were super patient with us throughout.
