Lycanite Delight

Turn your next monster hunt into a meal worth coming home for.

Lycanite Delight brings Lycanites Mobs and Farmer's Delight together, giving monster meat a place on your cutting board and in your cooking pot. Prepare new cuts, try elemental marinades, and cook meals that help you face the dangers waiting outside your kitchen.

Hunting, farming, and cooking all feed into one another. Bring home ingredients from your travels, combine them with your harvest, and pack something useful for your next adventure.

• More ways to prepare monster meat. Turn Lycanites meats into cuts such as Maka Ribs, Krake Steak, Ika Tentacle, and Aspid Cutlet. Ten cuts have raw and cooked versions, with support for furnaces, smokers, and campfires.
• Rewards for hunting with a knife. Finish eligible creatures with a knife to collect extra cuts and useful ingredients. Better knives and Looting improve your chances of getting higher-quality meat, which provides an additional feeding bonus.
• New cooking pot recipes. Make Monster Stock and prepare familiar Lycanites dishes through Farmer's Delight, including Battle Burrito, Seashell Maki, Caecilian Ramen, Blood Chili, Tropical Curry, Moss Pie, and Pale Soup.
• Elemental marinades. Prepare fire, frost, brine, shade, and venom-cured cuts as ingredients for different kinds of elemental cooking.
• Meals with lasting benefits. Regularly eating foods from the same elemental family builds up bonuses that gradually fade over time. Depending on your diet, these can reduce certain types of damage, help resist poison, or slowly restore health. Strong fire and frost bonuses also come with a weakness to the opposite element.
• Food for dangerous trips. Emberguard Roast provides Fire Resistance, Stormwatch Chowder grants Water Breathing, and Nightwatch Custard gives Night Vision. Plague Doctor's Broth clears poison and wither effects and provides a short burst of regeneration.
• Feasts for the table. Place down a Dragonfire Banquet, Abyssal Seafood Platter, Shadow Supper, or Lushstone Garden Pie. Each has four servings, with portions visibly disappearing as they are eaten.

The mod also adds cooking recipes for several Lycanites creature treats and connects Farmer's Delight foods with creature diets. Optional experimental features expand pet and mount feeding, reward eating near a complete kitchen, adjust Spriggan spawns around Rich Soil, and add food to dungeon chests.

Advancements help you discover the cooking systems, while an optional on-screen display tracks your elemental food bonuses. Recipes can be browsed through JEI or EMI.

Requires Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge, Lycanites Mobs, and Farmer's Delight. The project targets Forge 47.2.20 or newer and is developed against Lycanites Mobs 0.0.9-alpha and Farmer's Delight 1.3.2.

For modpack authors, configuration options let you adjust or disable gameplay features. Datapacks can customize recipes, food categories, creature food preferences, and loot. Optional CraftTweaker support provides control over knife butchery drops for individual creatures.

Early release note: Some features remain experimental. The Lycanites Mobs 0.0.9-alpha version used by this project has a known issue that prevents dedicated servers from starting.
