Maceify

This mod brings the Mace from version 1.21+ and its enchantments to version 1.20.4.

Why wait to update your world, your server, or your favorite modpack? Maceify backports the best weapon in the entire game (the Mace) along with its full smash-attack mechanics and all three of its exclusive enchantments, fully playable on Fabric 1.20.4.

⚔️ The Mace

A slow but devastating weapon for players with good timing and no fear of heights:

• 6 attack damage and 0.6 attack speed: identical stats to the vanilla 1.21 mace
• 500 durability, repairable with blaze rods in an anvil
• Found in the Combat tab of the creative inventory

💥 Smash Attack

The mace's signature move. Fall more than 1.5 blocks and hit an enemy before you land to unleash a smash attack:

• Bonus damage scales with fall distance: +4 damage per block for the first 3 blocks, +2 for the next 5, and +1 for every block beyond that
• A successful smash completely negates your fall damage — gravity is now a weapon
• Enemies near the impact are knocked away from the blast
• Impact particles and sound sell every hit

Drop from high enough and even the toughest mobs go down in a single blow.

✨ Enchantments

All three mace enchantments from 1.21 are included and can be obtained through the enchanting table, anvil, or commands:

Density: Has 5 Levels. Extra smash damage for every block fallen. The higher the drop, the harder the hit.

Breach: Has 4 Levels. Punches through armor, reducing its effectiveness by 15% per level.

Wind Burst: Has 3 levels. A successful smash launches you back into the air, with which you can chain smash after smash without touching the ground.

🛠️ Crafting

Since the Trial Chambers (and the Heavy Core) don't exist in 1.20.4, Maceify uses a simple custom recipe instead:

[White wool] [String] [Blaze Rod]

Place a white wool block on top, string in the middle, and a blaze rod at the bottom of a vertical column in a crafting table.

📋 Requirements & Notes

• Minecraft 1.20.4 with the Fabric Loader
• Requires Fabric API
• Must be installed on both client and server
• Small differences from vanilla 1.21: the crafting recipe and repair item are custom (no Heavy Core or Breeze Rods in 1.20.4), and impact sounds/particles are close approximations built from what exists in this version
