Description

Malazan

WIP magic mod attempting to implement Malazan Book of the Fallen's magic system. Build 1.0 features a rough implementation of Telas, the warren of Fire. The mod may feel incomplete, seeing as there are plenty of Warrens to implement and the mod is a ModFest 1.17 submission, however there are plenty of plans for the future. The mod progression is a *little* scuffed, so a detailed description of the rituals of Telas is provided below.

Oh yeah you also need fabric API 34.9

First of all, you'll need to raid a treasure bastion and find a "warm" tablet, located in a treasure chest. To begin the funky, right-click with the tablet while standing in fire, and with less than 4 armour. The armour and being in + on fire apply to all rituals. Once you're a mage of Telas, you can set mobs & blocks on fire by pressing Z, and you can open a temporary Gate to the Warren of Telas if you press Z and sneak. The warren of Telas is not a safe place, for the air is hot enough that you are constantly set on fire, and Flares dot the endless landscape, exploding and clearing your status effects if approached. It is reccommended to bring a potion of Fire Resistance and evade Flares at all times. To awaken yourself to greater Telas, you'll need to stand on a block of Ancient Debric or Netherite, lit on fire, holding the Tablet in your main hand and a blaze rod in the offhand. (yes the rituals are intentionally scuffed). This will allow you to use the keybind spell, which I'll let you discover by yourself. The final ritual is the same as the second one, except you have to surround the netherite block with lanterns. Oh, and also- try not to drop the Tablet into fire. It's not a good idea.

  • The setup:tm: for getting full aspect, bear in mind last two rituals have to be done in Telas itself
