Description
This is an unofficial 1.21.1 and 26.1.2 port of the original version by Ordinastie.
Since the mod is licensed under MIT, I am allowed to fork and update it.
MalisisDoors Revived
Smooth, animated doors are back! MalisisDoors Revived is a port of the classic MalisisDoors by Ordinastie to modern Minecraft on NeoForge. Doors, trapdoors and fence gates swing and slide instead of snapping open. The mod also adds dozens of new doors, garage doors, big castle doors and forcefields, and a Door Factory for making your own.
Animated vanilla doors
Every vanilla door, trapdoor and fence gate opens with a smooth animation. This covers every wood type and iron, and on 26.1.2 also copper (all oxidation stages, waxed or not) and pale oak.
- The animated blocks drop the normal vanilla items, so your recipes, farms and storage still work.
- Existing doors, including the ones in villages, are switched to the animated version when a player places or uses them.
- Villagers still use wooden doors, wind charges still open them, and redstone works like vanilla.
- Copper doors still oxidize and can be waxed or scraped like normal.
- Each kind (doors, trapdoors, fence gates) can be turned off in the server config.
New doors
Each door has its own animation and sound:
- Glass doors in wood and iron (sliding)
- Jail door
- Laboratory door (slides up)
- Factory door (splits up and down)
- Shoji door
- 16 curtains, one per color
- Saloon doors (swing when you walk through them)
- Reinforced door (a vertical hatch with a spinning wheel)
- Hi-tech door
More blocks
- Sliding trapdoor
- Camo fence gate: takes the texture of the blocks on both sides when they match.
- Garage doors: stack the panels and power them with redstone, and they roll up into the ceiling. Garage doors next to each other open together.
- Rusty hatch: a 2x2 hatch for floors and ceilings, opened with a wheel. Comes with a rusty ladder.
- Player sensor: gives a redstone signal while a player is nearby. Put one on the wall above a door and the door opens by itself when someone walks up.
Big doors
- Carriage door and medieval door (4x5). Craft them with a door and 5 identical blocks, which become the frame.
- Large 3x3 double doors in every vanilla wood (pale oak on 26.1.2), iron and rusty iron.
Forcefields
Pick two corners with the forcefield controller to create a forcefield wall.
- Use the controller on the forcefield to turn it on or off.
- Sneak and use it to remove the forcefield.
- The controller runs on energy that recharges over time.
Door Factory
Build a custom door from any three blocks: the frame, the top panel and the bottom panel. You can choose:
- 18 movements: rotating, sliding, vault, vortex, vanishing and more
- the sound
- the opening time
- the auto-close delay
- how it reacts to redstone
- whether it is a double door
- whether it opens when a player comes close
Switch the factory to modify mode to change the settings of doors you have already placed.
Quality of life
- Doors placed between fences, walls, iron bars or glass panes are centered in the block.
- Jade and WTHIT show the real door name.
- JEI and REI (and EMI on 1.21.1) have info pages for the special blocks and examples of the big door recipes.
Doors from other mods
If one of these mods is installed, its doors, trapdoors and fence gates get the same animation as vanilla. Each mod can be turned off in the server config, in the [integrations] section.
