# Manhunt Bot: The Hunter That Learns You
Playing Manhunt but your friends aren't online? Type one command and a pack of hunters appears. They are real player entities, and they have one goal: **kill you**. Each one has its own personality, and it can change mid-game.
**No cheating.** The bots never receive items from the mod (except the random gifts, which you can turn off). They mine, craft, smelt, build and fight like survival players, and they can be hurt and killed like any other player (fall damage included).
## Features
- **A real, long game (1 hour or more):** hunters spend the first 30 to 54 minutes surviving. They gather wood, stone and iron, mine diamonds, craft diamond gear and build a base. Then the hunt starts for real. They still attack if you get within 9 blocks.
- **The hunt begins with a warning:** a Wither sound plays for you, and about 1 hunter in 3 becomes a **champion** with 32 HP.
- **Alliances:** nearby hunters can team up against you. Allies stop fighting each other, rush to help whoever is fighting you, and feel braver together. A hard hit from an ally breaks the alliance and starts a grudge.
- **Bases with chests:** hunters build a 5x5 shelter (walls, roof, door) with 2 chests, then come back regularly to store their surplus.
- **They size you up:** each hunter compares its gear, health and weapon to yours. If you're clearly stronger, it gets scared. It trails you from a distance, backs off when you get close, and only fights when cornered. Nearby hunters add up their strength, so a pack dares what a lone bot won't.
- **18 personalities, and they change:** every hunter has its own character, and it switches to a new one every 1 to 2.5 minutes:
- **Slayer** (about 1 hunter in 5) hunts down the *other bots* to kill them
- **Prepper** (about 1 hunter in 3) fully gears up before coming for you
- **Clutch King** has Dream-level aim, crits and reactions
- **Berserker** never backs down, **Gambler** flips between suicidal courage and caution every 15 seconds
- **Stalker** follows you closely and only strikes when you're weak or busy
- **Troll** sneak-spams and bunny-hops around you
- **Hoarder**, **Lone Wolf**, **Perfectionist** (diamond gear or nothing), **Slacker**, **Medic**, **Hothead**, **Bully**, plus the classics Angel, Killer, Selfish, Fearful, Traitor and Vengeful
- **Victory dance:** a hunter that eliminates a player celebrates by dancing. Hit it while it dances.
- **Random gifts:** every 30 seconds a random player, you or a hunter, receives a random item. Chaos guaranteed.
- **Clean chat:** the mod sends no messages in chat, and death messages are turned off when a game starts.
- **Real survival skills:** wood, stone, iron and diamond gear, shield, food, furnaces. They read their surroundings, inventory, health and hunger to decide what to do.
- **Elimination rules:** if you die, the hunters win. If a bot dies, whether you killed it, another bot did, or it fell or burned, it's out of the game. Prefer a free-for-all? Turn on respawn mode and everyone comes back like a real player.
- **Learns how you fight:** it tracks your shield use, bow use, fleeing, high ground, sprint-jumping and preferred fighting range. This is saved per player, so rematches get tougher.
- **Packs of hunters:** spawn up to 99, with names and skins from real accounts (on by default) or a custom name.
- **Classic Manhunt mode:** head start for the runner, game ends when the runner or the Ender Dragon dies.
- **Multiplayer ready:** choose who they hunt, or let them chase everyone.

## Requirements
- Minecraft 26.2
- Fabric Loader and **Fabric API**
- Java 25
## Notes
- PvP must be enabled, otherwise the hunters can't hurt you.
- Skin and name lookup needs an internet connection. If it fails, the default skin is used.
- The bots can't build Nether portals yet, so they may struggle if you leave the Overworld.
- Found a bug or have an idea? Leave a comment, feedback is welcome!
