About

Description

This datapack is designed to replicate manhunt trackers in videos.

A runner is assigned, and every other person is given a compass. When updated (right-clicked), it will point directly towards the runner.

For more information in-game to set up the datapack, use:

/function manhunt:info

~~~~~DATAPACK INFO~~~~~
Let the desired runner use the command:
/function manhunt:assign_player
to become the runner.
Alternatively, you can make someone the runner by using:
/tag @s add runner
to give them the tag. If you do this, make sure there is only one person with the "runner" tag!
All players except the runner (a.k.a. the hunters) will have a tracker in their inventory. This item cannot be dropped out of their inventory.
By right-clicking with it in either their mainhand or offhand, the compass will update to the runner's current position.
If the runner is in another dimension, the tracker will update to the last position the runner was in, in the current dimension.
If the hunter is in a dimension that the runner hasn't been in yet, the tracker will not be able to track the runner at all.
To reset the position, dimension, and exploration stats that the tracker uses, use:
/function manhunt:reset_player_stats
or use:
/reload
(which reloads all data packs and reloads other things in this datapack)
If you want to change the name of your Tracker, use:
/data modify storage manhunt:track tracker_name set value <TRACKER_NAME>
To change the time of the Tracker Update Cooldown (TUC), use:
/data modify storage manhunt:track tuc set value <TIME (IN TICKS)>
  • This datapack does not alter the worldspawn and spawnpoint in any way. It manupulates scoreboards, storage, and functions
  • This datapack allows the compass to be used normally
  • This datapack does not yet support multiple runners
