NiBS Maple Forest

This mod adds Maple Forest biomes to Minecraft!

In the Maple Forest and the Mixed Maple Forest you can find maple trees, maple sap, turkeys, and cursed pumpkins. Maple trees are made of Maple Wood, Maple Leaves, and sometimes 1–2, or rarely 3, Maple Sap sources. Maple Sap can be cooked into Syrup, which can be drunk or crafted into sugar.

Turkeys drop feathers and Raw Turkey Meat, which can be cooked into Cooked Turkey. The Cooked Turkey can be placed and eaten in 3 steps.

Next to brown and red mushrooms, pumpkin patches can also spawn. Within those patches, cursed pumpkins sometimes appear. They can be carved into new Jack’O Lanterns. All Jack’O Lanterns can now be lit with a Fire Charge or Flint and Steel.

Due to the lack of sunlight, Zombies, Skeletons, and Phantoms can spawn all day long.

The Cursed Phantomscare is a new boss mob which can be spawned by lighting a carved cursed pumpkin during nighttime. Before lighting the pumpkin, it needs to be placed on a Hay Bale, which has a maple fence under it as legs and two maple fences on each side as arms. The Cursed Phantomscare is a fast, high-damage, medium-health boss. If a player hits the Cursed Phantomscare while standing 3 blocks high or swimming in water, it will call Phantoms for backup and turn invisible for a short time. If the Cursed Phantomscare hits a player, it will curse the player with the Nightmares effect, which makes it impossible to sleep. When the Cursed Phantomscare is defeated, it will drop Wheat, Pumpkin, Corn Seeds, and its Head. If the Cursed Phantomscare Head is placed, it will prevent Phantoms from spawning everywhere except in the Maple Forest and Mixed Maple Forest.

Corn Seeds can be traded from the Wandering Trader or obtained by defeating the Cursed Phantomscare. Corn can be planted like regular crops but grows up to 2 blocks tall. Breaking the Corn Plant gives you 2 Corn, which can be crafted into Corn Seeds or grilled into Grilled Corn, which can be eaten.

The rivers in Maple Forests and Mixed Maple Forests are mostly empty, but rarely you can find a giant swarm of Salmon.
