This project is open source and the majority of the artworks used in this mod were obtained from the old MapleStory dataset. If there are any legal issues with the use of these artworks, please contact me to resolve the matter.
🟩 Description 🟩
This is a Forge mod and requires Curios API and Geckolib. Also, I highly recommend you use JEI to check the recipes in this mod.
➡️ Items
This mod features lots of MapleStory items and all of them (except the pendant) are fully functional and available in Minecraft.

🧪 Potions 🧪
These potions can be crafted using glass bottles and drops obtained from mobs. Some potions can immediately restore health, while others can replenish mana (which is required to use skills), and some can do both. The all-cure potion can remove all effects when used.
🪓 Weapons 🪓
There are seven kinds of weapons, they are sword, spear, wand, bow, crossbow, claw, and dagger. Melee weapons can perform normal attacks or sweep attacks (with a left click). The long-range weapons can not perform melee attacks but can only shoot custom projectiles (arrow or shuriken).
Weapons currently have a level requirement (the vanilla experience level in Minecraft), base stats, and potential.
- Acquisition: Level 0 weapons can be dropped from monsters with a 1% chance. Higher-level weapons can be crafted using lower-level weapons and equipment crystal.
- Level requirement: To gain the base attack and potential bonus effect, you must meet the required level. If your current level is lower than the requirement, you will not receive these benefits.
- Potential: Potential in this game is divided into four levels, similar to those found in MapleStory: Rare, Epic, Unique, and Legendary. The effect of potential is pretty straightforward (stats is for dig speed) and corresponds to the level of potential applied. All weapons do not come with potential, but they can be added using a potential scroll. Cubes can be used to reset or upgrade the potential of a weapon.

🧊 Cubes 🧊
Cubes can be used to reset or upgrade the potential. Different kinds of cubes have different maximum upgradable potential levels and different chances of an upgrade.
📜 Potential Scrolls 📜
Equipment can gain potential using potential scrolls. Different kinds of potential scrolls have different levels.
💰 Mesos 💰
Mesos can be obtained from mob drops, as well as from various kinds of grass, stones, and logs. Small mesos can be combined to create larger mesos. These mesos can then be used to craft equipment, projectiles, and potions.
🧩 Some Items 🧩
The Maple Leaf can be dropped from mining diamond ore and the Lost Golden Tooth can be dropped from zombified piglin.
💎 Monster Crystals 💎
Monster crystal ore, a valuable resource, can be found in the game world. Basic and intermediate monster crystal ore can be mined using a stone pickaxe, while advanced monster crystal ore requires an iron pickaxe. Monster crystals can be used to repair equipment and create equipment crystals, which can then be used in the crafting of equipment.
👚 Armors 👚
Only very limited kinds of armor are available now.
💍 Accessories 💍
Still under development.
➡️ Jobs and Skills
There are four basic job types and nine advanced job types in this game. You can choose your job by using a Job Advancement Coin, which can be obtained through quests. In your inventory, you will find two buttons: one for skills and one for quests. Skills can only be used if you have the correct job type and a compatible weapon equipped in your main hand, and if you have sufficient mana points. There are four skill slots, and you can assign skills to these slots and use them by pressing the corresponding number keys on your keyboard (1, 2, 3, or 4). However, keep in mind that the correct weapon must be equipped in your main hand in order to use a skill. If you have the default keybindings enabled for 1, 2, 3, and 4, you will need to disable them or else you will have to reselect the correct weapon each time you use a skill. Some of you may wonder why I can not make the correct weapon detection for the off-hand slot, that's because you can not perform a melee attack when it's not in your main hand but I want to keep the melee attack feature.

➡️ Quests
The quest system is pretty simple right now. There are three tabs, available quests, in-progress quests, and completed quests. Only job advancement quests and Zakum-related quests are essential. Some quests have prerequisite requirements and level requirements that must be met before they become available. To start a quest, you must "Take" it from the "?" tab. To complete a quest, you must "Submit" it with the required items or equipment in your quick slots.
👾 Boss Zakum 👾
Once you have reached level 20 and one the second job advancement quest, you can start to conquer the boss Zakum. You need to first complete a quest for Eye of Fire, then find the Zakum's Altar in the Nether and use the Eye of Fire on the Zakum Spawner Core block to summon the boss. The Zakum's body will be invulnerable until all his hands got eliminated. Be prepared before challenging it!
➰ Memos ➰
I used to play MapleStory GMS, but over time, the developers kept removing perks and benefits for players, making the game less enjoyable for me. One day, I came across a video by Tessa Laurijssens and was inspired to create a mod for Minecraft. It took me about a month to get the project to its current stage, and I'm not sure if I will continue working on it. I am not a professional mod developer and I created this project purely for fun. If you are interested, you are welcome to take over the project and continue working on it to "Make MapleStory Great Again.
