Description

The pressure here is suffocating.....

This mod flips the usual takes on end updates and turns it into a deep sea-like enivornment, complete with unsually marine alien life and a structure that may just make you rethink how you use an elytra....

  • Firework Rockets no longer boost Elytra
  • End stone can be used as stone in crafting recipes
  • Ender Eyes now point to End Cities
  • End lighting has been removed
  • Chorus fruits now make rustling noises and produce light (1.21.10+)
  • New biome ambience has been added
  • Rare fossils spawn more commonly under end islands
  • End Portal Frames, End Stone blocks, Purpur blocks and all Chorus related blocks have had their textures changed
  • New plants called Noctis Weed litter the end island floors
  • A new block called Endsilt can be found in patches along the ground as well
  • Endsilt can be smelted to make glass (1.21.10+)
  • Unusual fossils dot the islands
  • Deeptrial Spawners on End Ships have been added, giving players who complete their challenge a Deeptrial Key
  • Deepvaults on End Ships lock its special loot and the Elytra behind its keyhole
  • Liwanags, little snailfish like entities that emit light, spawn in schools around the islands; Snaggletooths, their natural predator also spawn here
  • Cephalas (airbone squid-like creatures) spawn around the edges of the islands calling to each other
  • Structures called Pods spawn around the islands, made of an unusual block called Deepsteel that has to be mined 3 times before it breaks. If Deepsteel is mined without Silk Touch, it drops Deepsteel Plates.
    • Fun fact: if you look in the chests found in these structures and End City chests, you can actually find Gold, Iron, and even Oak Saplings and Dirt for wood/food!
    • Crafting Deepsteel Plates around an Ender Eye creates a Deepwater Sonar, which points to an unusual structure called the Deepwater Station when used. Be wary, though, as this station may contain a near unstoppable guardian...
      • Inside of these structure chests, you may find Machinations, a crafting material you can use to make Propeligears
    • Propeligears are items that you use while gliding! If you continously use it, it will boost your horizontal flight greatly and your vertical height only ever so slightly at the cost of a charge bar.
      • Both the amount of time you can use one and the cooldown time when its charge has been expended can be configured using Mialib by AmyMialee! Simply locate the witch hat icon in the pause menu and adjust the sliders to your content :D

Compatibility

This mod SHOUDLN'T cause issues with any other end mods besides texture mismatches. As of writing this, there isn't any compatibility with any other end mod to give their blocks new textures, but that's something I'll do in the future. If there are any conflicts I am unaware about, please let me know in my discord!

Future Updates

Confirmed Stuff:

  • First and foremost, Deepwater Stations will be getting a HUGE build rework. Right now, they look pretty bad because of my original time constraint LOL
  • I want to compile other End mods for this version and give their blocks a coat of paint for this one :]
  • Deepsteel is going to be used to craft more decorative blocks like doors, plates, pressure plates, buttons, all that jazz (as soon as I figure out how it would be created....)
  • Machinations will be used to craft more useful items like a Void Ballast that can be right clicked to rocket you upwards (hopefully preventing you from dying to the void!)
  • Propeligears NEED a bit more added to them to make them viable but balanced transportation, so at some point there's going to be criteria you need to recharge them instead of just a cooldown and gradual recharge
  • Proper items will be added to Snaggletooths, but they won't be obtained from killing them since I personally don't want my mobs killed for things :[

Random Ideas:

  • I want to do a biome themed around deep sea reefs sometime. Maybe they'll have more light?
  • As much as I stray from Endermen, I think they should get a design change so they can fit this mod....hmm....
  • I want to add a crustacean-like mob at some point. I just think it'd be be cool....
