Market Blocks

A dead-simple server market: two blocks, sane configs, and a working economy in five minutes.

The two blocks

Market Stall — every player gets their own shop

  • Craft it, place it, stock the top rows, click a slot to set its price.
  • Other players browse and buy straight from the block. No commands to learn.
  • Earnings pile up in the stall; the owner withdraws them anytime.
  • Only you (or an operator) can break your stall, and your stock and earnings are safe even if it does break.
  • Configurable cap on stalls per player (default 5). Crafting recipe: red wool for the awning, planks, and a chest.

Admin Market — the server's own infinite shop

  • Operators place it in Creative mode and set fixed buy/sell prices.
  • Players buy and sell at those prices forever. Stock never runs out.
  • Prices live in a simple config file: exact item IDs or whole tags (like #minecraft:wool), with an automatic sell-price ratio.
  • Edit the prices and run /market reload — changes apply instantly, no restart needed.

The economy

  • Virtual currency. No physical coins to juggle — balances are stored per player.
  • /balance — check your credits.
  • /pay <player> <amount> — send credits to another player.
  • Configurable starting balance (default 100 credits), stall tax (default 0%), and sell ratio (default 60%).
  • Every transaction is server-side and atomic. No dupes, no race conditions.

Survival-friendly by design

Placing, breaking, and configuring the Admin Market requires Creative mode — a survival-mode operator can't accidentally (or deliberately) mess with the server shop. Regular players always get the buy/sell interface.
