Description
What is MARS?
On the client-side, the performance mod 'MARS' or Motion Adaptive Render Scaling improves FPS rates with minimal stutter while adjusting the render resolution according to the player movements.
When a character moves or changes direction in a fast motion, the world render scale is lowered in a short period by MARS; this scale is then restored back to normal right away when the character ceases its motion.
This, in turn, is to support frame time stability, as well as enable real FPS increases with no decrease in graphics quality.
This mod does not make your game run worse, you cannot tell the quality difference change, but that small bit of time of unnoticable bad quality increases FPS when turning quickly.
