Description
A Litematica addon that shows the material list for the layer you're building right now — updating in real time as you place each block — and points you straight at the chests holding those items.
No more guess-counting stacks, no manual tracking, and no more digging through every barrel in the room. Just place a block, watch your list and chest markers update instantly, and keep building without missing a beat!

📋 Material List HUD
- Shows blocks for the current layer only — not the whole build. Place one and it drops off the list, so the panel always reflects what's actually left.
- A block only counts as needed where the world is still empty. A wrong block sitting in that spot won't inflate the count — sorting that out is a job for verification, not gathering. (One toggle brings back the old-style count.)
- A progress bar up top tracks how far along the layer is. Counts show as single blocks, stacks, and shulker boxes, so you know exactly how much to carry.
- Each count is color-coded to your inventory: 🟢 green — you have enough, 🟡 yellow — you have some, 🔴 red — you have none. Turn on Show shortfall for a red
need Nspelling out exactly how many you're missing. - Sorted by what's needed most first; alphabetical order is one click away.
- Long list? It splits into pages. Flip through with Page Up / Page Down — even with a chest open, so you can page and fill your inventory at the same time.

🔍 Finding Blocks in Storage
- Every chest, barrel, copper chest, and shulker box you open gets quietly noted — what's inside, and where. The mod remembers this per world and per server, even after you log off.
- A container with an item frame showing the right block counts too — no need to open it.
- Press U and every storage nearby holding a block from the current page lights up, visible right through walls, so you always know where to walk.

- Search radius covers 96 blocks by default (up to 256), and each block gets its own color, matching its stripe in the HUD. Item names float above each mark, one line per block, so a chest holding three of your blocks shows all three — a double chest still gets just one mark.
- Open the chest and the matching slots light up in the same color. Shulker boxes and bundles holding what you need get outlined too, so you're not opening them one by one.

- Already carrying enough of something? It's skipped automatically, so the search only ever points you toward what you're actually short on.

⌨️ Key Bindings
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| Y | Show / hide the panel |
| Page Up / Page Down | Switch list pages (works with a chest open) |
| U | Show storage marks for the current page |
| Alt + Y | Open the panel-placement screen |
Every key is rebindable in Settings → Hotkeys.
⚙️ Settings
Four tabs, a search box to jump straight to a setting by name, a reset button on every row, and one-click reset for a tab or for everything. Rows share colors with whatever they control in the world, so cause and effect stay easy to connect.

📋 HUD — what's in the panel
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Only missing | on | Shows only what the layer still needs, not the full list |
| Only empty spots | on | Counts a block as needed only where the world is empty |
| Show shortfall | off | Adds a red need N next to the count |
| Progress bar | on | Shows the layer's completion bar at the top of the panel |
🔍 Search — finding blocks in storage
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Search radius | 96 | How far around you storages get marked (16–256) |
| Use item frames | on | An item frame on a container counts as a sign of its contents |
| Follow the page | on | Restarts the search whenever you flip to a new page |
| Skip what you have | on | Skips searching for blocks you already carry enough of |
| Stripes in the panel | on | Colors the HUD rows currently being searched for |
✨ Highlight — how the marks look
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Mark size | 12 | Screen size of the mark above a storage — doesn't shrink with distance (3–30) |
| Labels above marks | on | Shows the item name above each mark |
| Outline with a box | off | Also outlines the container itself |
| Highlight slots | on | Colors the matching slots once a container is open |
⌨️ Hotkeys — rebind everything
Every key above can be rebound here, plus a Chat messages toggle (on by default) that silences everything the mod prints to chat.
🎯 Panel Placement
Alt + Y — or the button in Settings — opens a drag-and-drop screen for the panel. It snaps to the screen edges and the center, shows its position and size as you move it, and Cancel puts everything back the way it was.
🧩 Works Great With Zone Focus
Litematica Zone Focus narrows your schematic down to just the part you're actually building. Pair the two and the material list follows that zone too — its own list, its own chest markers, one shared settings screen.
💡 Building something huge? Zone Focus plus this addon means both the list and the chest markers only ever show the one small area you're working on right now.
