📜 Max Enchantments
Max Enchantments is a lightweight mod that puts a cap on how many enchantments a single item can hold. Whether you're looking to balance gameplay or add a new layer of progression and strategy, this mod gives you control over enchantment stacking.
🔧 Key Features:
✅ Configurable Enchantment Cap: Set a base and max enchantment limit for all items and set different cap values to specific items (if item is not specified in the config it will have the default base and max values).
🪨 Arcane Stones: Apply special item to expand an item's enchantment capacity beyond the base limit,
obtained by crafting and in chest loot.
🛠️ Anvil Integration: If combining items in an anvil would exceed the enchantment cap, the result is disabled and marked with a red “X.”
✂️ Auto-Trimming: Items that exceed the cap will have their enchantments trimmed automatically—whether through loot, anvils, or inventory updates.
🧠 Tooltip Display: See how many enchantments are currently on an item and how many it's allowed to have, right on the tooltip.
💡 Example:
You've got a sword with 7 enchantments, but your new config sets the cap to 5. The next time the item is ticked in your inventory—or retrieved from a chest—it will automatically be trimmed down to the allowed 5 enchantments.
Make sure you set the cap amount you want.
⚠️Important
This mod is disabled by default to prevent unintentional changes to existing enchantments.
You must enable it manually in the config file after setting your desired enchantment cap:
config/maxenchantments.json
→ isModEnabled = true
