About

Description

ME Kits is an Applied Energistics 2 addon for creating reusable kits of items.

A kit can represent anything you regularly need as a complete set: a fully upgraded machine, a bee setup, a construction package, a collection of tools, or any other group of items you do not want to remember and request individually every time.

Use the Kit Pattern Encoder to define the contents of a kit and create a kit pattern. Place that pattern in the ME Kit Packager, then request the kit through your ME system. Any missing components are handled through AE2’s normal crafting system before the Packager combines everything into a single kit item.

When the kit is unpacked, its contents are inserted directly into the player’s inventory.

ME Kits does not replace AE2 autocrafting. Instead, it adds a final packaging step on top of it, allowing complex groups of items to be stored, requested, transported, and unpacked as one convenient item.

Features Define reusable kits containing multiple item types and quantities Encode kit patterns using an AE2-style cable-mounted terminal Store kit patterns in the ME Kit Packager Request kits through the normal AE2 crafting workflow Let AE2 craft any missing components before packaging begins Package complete item sets into a single inventory item Unpack kits directly into the player’s inventory Designed to fit naturally into existing AE2 networks and modpacks

ME Kits is especially useful in larger modpacks where a single machine or setup may require many blocks, upgrades, cables, tools, and supporting components. Once the kit has been defined, you no longer need to remember every individual ingredient.
