Description
Fixes for Mekanism bugs that have been open for a long time, in one addon you can add to a pack and forget about. Every fix has its own switch.
Unofficial. Not made by or affiliated with the Mekanism team. Please report bugs here, not on Mekanism's tracker.
Fixes
Tall blocks stuck in a cardboard box (#8119)
Put a cardboard box on a lilac, a rose bush, a door or a two-block-tall modded block such as a waystone, and you can never take it out again: the box won't open, so you lose both the block and the box. The box only keeps the half you used it on. When you unpack it, the game checks whether that half can stand there, and half a tall block can't without its other half.
Now the box puts the missing half back first, if there's room for it, and the block comes out whole. If there isn't room, the box stays closed as before, and nothing is lost.
Switch: boxTallBlocks
Config
config/mek_fix_pack.properties has a switch for each fix. Fixes without a passing test start switched off and say so.
If a Mekanism update changes the code a fix hooks into, that fix switches itself off and the rest keep working. It never stops your game from loading.
FAQ
Client or server? The server needs it (or your game, in singleplayer). Players don't need it to join.
Does it need anything else? Mekanism 10.7 for Minecraft 1.21.1, on NeoForge.
How is it tested? Every fix has a game test, and a control that runs the same setup with the fix switched off and has to show the bug. Here, a box holding the lower half of a lilac is unpacked onto grass. The control refuses to open; with the fix the lilac comes back with both halves.
Can I use it in my modpack? Yes, go ahead, no need to ask.
