🛶 Canoe Water Mask

Extends the boat's water mask to better suit the Minecanoes resourcepack by adding triangular water mask extensions to the front and back of the boat — making the water displacement match the shape of a canoe rather than a plain rectangle.

What Does This Do?

In vanilla Minecraft, the area where water becomes transparent inside a boat is a simple rectangle. When using a canoe-shaped resourcepack model, this rectangle doesn't match the pointed ends of the canoe — making it look off.

This mod adds two extra triangular water mask shapes with a new rectangle (while removing the old rectangle), with one triangle at the front and one at the back, so the water displacement fits the canoe shape properly.

⚠️ Requirements

This mod requires the following to work as intended:

• ETF — Entity Texture Features (Fabric 1.21.5)
• EMF — Entity Model Features (Fabric 1.21.5)
• Minecanoes resourcepack (https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/minecanoes)

Without the resourcepack and its dependencies, the mod will still run but the effect won't look right.

⚠️ Known Limitations

• Only tested on 1.21.5 — Minecraft rendering code changes frequently between versions. Compatibility with other versions is not guaranteed.

This is my first ever mod! I mainly made it for personal use to complement my own resourcepack setup, but I'm sharing it in case anyone else finds it useful. Apologies if it's rough around the edges — I'm still learning. 😄

If you're on a version other than 1.21.5, it likely won't work and I can't guarantee a port anytime soon.

Since [Boat with Chest] isn't remodled by the Minecanoes resourcepack, the feature is disabled for them, only changing the shape of the box for the normal [Boat].
