Minerdz Quartz

Adds Nether Quartz Ores to the overworld, for stone and deepslate. (You will not walk through the block like one mod in particular. Yes, this is a direct jab at them, it's been ONE YEAR!)

all ores can be mined with a wooden pickaxe just like vanilla nether quartz.

in addition, as of 1.1.0 you can find Chloritoid ore in the End dimension in the same heights you would find nether quartz in the nether. yes, it's a real mineral, and it's even similar to quartz irl.

chloritoid can be crafted into any variant that nether quartz can, as well as 4 unique blocks. Chloritoid can also be used to craft deepslate and Blackstone the way you can craft diorite and granite.

as well as being found in the overworld, quartz can be bought from mason villagers and wandering traders.

Chloritoid can also be bought from wandering traders, albeit at a steep price due to its origins. but still better than how you craft it.

Now you can occasionally find Shrines in the overworld and end that has Idols made of that dimension's Quartz type.

or you could craft them and NOT go looking for shrines.

it is unlikely that i will add anything else to the mod, i was pushing it with the chloritoid.

A couple years ago, on Curseforge... I had downloaded an overworld quartz mod for 1.20, because I wanted one and there weren't many to choose from at that point. To my utter Horror, it turned out the mod was terrible. The quartz ore block had no collisions and broke with water, not to mention the fact the mining level was bugged so that you could only use iron or higher, despite the waila-esque mods saying otherwise.

In a moment of MCreator-having spite, this mod was born! The ores spawn like Nether quartz does, in both stone and deepslate.

In addition, there is also a Silicate ore that forms in the End, called chloritoid. it has the same blockset as quartz with slight texture differences. it also slightly glows.

Finally, there is also a quartz and chloritoid Amongus statue that can be either crafted or found rarely in a shrine.
