Missing Shapes

The stairs, slabs and walls Minecraft still does not have.

Minecraft 26.3 finally added wool and concrete stairs and slabs, but terracotta still has no shapes at all, concrete has no walls, and many stone blocks are missing their stairs or walls. Missing Shapes adds exactly those 111 blocks and nothing else. Every block uses the vanilla texture, vanilla recipes and the stonecutter, so it feels like part of the game.

"vanilla" means the shape already exists in Minecraft 26.3 and is not duplicated.

  • Uses the vanilla stairs, slabs and walls tags: walls connect, and other mods and datapacks treat the blocks like vanilla ones
  • Mineable with a pickaxe; double slabs drop two slabs

  • No config, no new mechanics, no custom textures to clash with resource packs

Requirements

  • Minecraft 26.3
  • Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer
  • Fabric API

Install on both client and server. A NeoForge version will follow once NeoForge supports 26.3.

FAQ

Does it work with resource packs? Yes. All blocks use the vanilla block textures, so they follow whatever pack you use.

Can I add it to an existing world? Yes. Removing it later deletes the placed blocks from this mod only.

Can I use it in a modpack? Yes, the mod is MIT licensed.
