About

Mob Escape Fix is a lightweight server-side mod for Minecraft that prevents friendly and hostile mobs from getting stuck inside solid blocks when a chunk is loaded or unloaded.

What it fixes

  • Mobs spawning embedded in walls, floors and ceilings when chunks load
  • Mobs remaining trapped after a chunk is re-generated by a datapack or world-edit tool
  • Villagers, animals and monsters stuck in one block, unable to move or path-find

How it works

When the game loads a chunk, the mod scans loaded entities, detects mobs whose bounding box intersects a solid block, and safely relocates them to the nearest free adjacent space above the block. It runs entirely server-side, so every client benefits without installing anything.

Compatibility

  • Works with Paper, Spigot and Forge/Fabric dedicated servers
  • No configuration required
  • Does not replace vanilla AI or path-finding libraries
