Wouldn't it be nice to provide addons for your mod a quick, easy, and clean way to register an addon? If you wish you could create an annotation for your mod's addon system, and if you could control every aspect of addon registry without breaking addons, then this is the right framework for you!
If you have a mod that has addon support with your own registry system, then why not create a plugin to register an annotation for your own registry type (Application, Magic Spell, Tech, etc) that works with your registry system so that addons can annotate their classes, leaving you with complete control of your addon registry system without breaking anything!
