Modern Foundry: Migration Edition is an unofficial compatibility fork of Modern Foundry, bringing customizable tools, materials, modifiers, smelteries, alloying and casting to Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge.

This edition focuses on migrating existing Forge 1.20.1 worlds using Tinkers’ Construct 3.11.2.166.

Migration improvements

  • Restores the original tconstruct: registry IDs so existing items can be recognized.

  • Imports legacy tool materials, modifiers, durability and upgrade progress.

  • Converts legacy inventory and fluid data in supported Tinkers’ containers.

  • Fixes inventory and tank saving for Minecraft 1.21.1.

Requirements

Requires Hilt 1.21.1-1.14. Install this mod and Hilt on the server and every client. This build replaces your existing Tinkers’ Construct / Modern Foundry port; install only one implementation.

Before migrating

Back up your world and test a copy first. Items already deleted and saved require a backup from before the loss. Tinkers’ add-ons and other mods need their own compatible versions.
