Description
ModernPSX Compatibility
A small client-side compatibility mod for the Modern PSX Shaders pack.
ModernPSX uses PS1-style vertex snapping, which can cause layered models and effects to separate, jitter or fight over the same depth. This mod gives related layers a shared snapping reference so they stay together without removing the vertex snapping itself.
It currently includes handling for things such as:
- Banners and other layered block entities
- Entity model layers
- Fresh Animations through EMF/ETF
- Armour, eyes, emissive textures and similar overlays
- Wakes water effects
The mod does nothing useful without ModernPSX and Iris. Other supported mods are detected automatically and are not required.
Installation
Install it like a normal client-side mod alongside:
- ModernPSX
- Iris
- Any optionally supported mods, such as Wakes, EMF or ETF
Make sure you download the file matching your Minecraft version and mod loader.
Support
This project is mainly hosted here so it has a convenient place to download it. I’m not currently looking for feature requests, compatibility requests, feedback or bug reports, and can’t promise support for other setups or future mod versions.
