MonsterMod

A lightweight Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge mod that gives you full control over the mob targeting system.

🎯 Features

/monster target <source> <target>
Force a specified entity to transfer its targeting to another entity. No matter what they were attacking before, they will immediately lock onto your specified target.

/monster rule attack_player <true/false>
Control whether monsters can target players.

  • false (default): Monsters cannot target players. All aggression toward players will be cleared.
  • true: Restore vanilla behavior, allowing monsters to target players normally.

⚙️ How It Works

The mod synchronizes the specified targeting goal every game tick, preventing it from being overridden by the vanilla AI. Even if a monster was chasing you, a single command will make them all turn their heads.

The cover, most of the code, and the build of this project are based on the official Forge MDK. The concept is implemented based on AI and adapted manually.
