About

Description

A moonlight-themed magic mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge). You do not study magic here — you borrow light, and the moon keeps the receipt.

How it starts

On a clear night a meteor of moonlight falls. Touch the glow it leaves and you awaken. That is the whole ceremony. Everyone gets one guaranteed meteor on their first rainless night; after that they are shared by the whole server.

Then hold right-click with an empty hand for two seconds to summon the wand. Right-click to cast. Press X (rebindable) for the spell wheel, and Shift + left-click to put the wand away.

Moonlight

One resource, one source: the Collect Moonlight spell. Hold right-click and wait. A full moon, clear weather and deep night make it fast; midday makes it nearly invisible. Anything solid overhead blocks it completely. Going mining? Store the moon first with Moon Phantom and carry it down with you.

Spells

A spell is not a fixed thing — but how far it grows is decided per spell, and only some reach the top. The list keeps growing: new spells are added under the same rules.

· Move — pick up creatures, items and blocks and carry them with your gaze.

· Ruin — break what you are looking at; later it chains through ores and logs.

· Freeze, Hasten, Regrowth — stop a creature, grow a field, mend a friend.

· Moonlight Glow — hang a light in the air and leave it there.

· Moon Wheel — a spinning disc that eats projectiles.

· Shed — strip what is attached: armour, effects, a creeper's fuse.

· Shadow Clones — send a shadow of yourself ahead.

· Lofting — borrow creative flight. The wings fade when the moonlight runs out.

· Shifting Step — a dash, then a blink.

· Jade Water Whirl — a green storm that follows your aim.

· Dispel — take effects and shields away, including your own.

· Extinguish — put out a field of fire; under a waxing moon it also swats fireballs and makes creepers unable to explode at all.

· Conjure Fairy Cake — charge a second, drop a cake. Eating it leaves a little moonlight on you.

· Harvest / Nanny / Healing / Guardian Sprite — four small companions, each with a job.

· Moonlight Thread – Weaving — twelve threads in your off hand weave a 27-slot pack.

· Magic Halo — open a 3×3 door in a wall; step through and come out the other side. It does not care how thick the wall is, and it does not move a single block.

· Starlight Array — a suspended orb that pulls creatures and players toward its centre. Two at a time; it recharges on its own.

· Light Kinetic — charge, then release a horizontal blade of light that pierces everything alive in its path and stops only at a block.

Growing stronger

Spells are learned with Enlightenment and raised with Moonlight Power. Your rank decides which tier you may learn — the book never hides a page from you, it only refuses to teach you too early.

Upgrade chains are defined per spell, not globally. Only some reach the top: some climb all the way to Moon God, some stop at Crescent. How far a spell grows is decided per spell. That is deliberate — a spell that never grows is still allowed to be the right answer.

The sprites

Four summonable companions, each summoned by holding the spell and charging:

· Harvest Sprite — reaps ripe crops, replants them, and delivers to a container you bind.

· Nanny Sprite — follows you, picks up food, and feeds you when you are hungry.

· Healing Sprite — burns the moonlight inside itself to heal you.

· Guardian Sprite — opens a thin ward: 30% absolute damage reduction and clears control. Three per player — one on duty, two waiting.

The book

The Fairy's Compendium is an in-game guide. It needs Patchouli (optional): without it, everything else still works — you just do not have the book. Pages fill in as you go; the blank ones are not unfinished.

Multiplayer

This mod is built to be played together. Spell beams, wings, telekinesis outlines, placed lights and phantoms are all visible to nearby players.
