⏾ Moonmare

IMPACT: ③

"With their tantalizing forms, Moonmares are often likened to both a mare and a siren for their nocturnal dependency, alluring voices, and deceitful nature."

Moonmare using Illusion Break at night

⟡ Powerlist ⟡

NOTE: The specifics of each power can be found under "spoiler info" within each power dropdown tab. If you just want to go in blind and learn how the Origin's mechanics works by playing the game, I'd recommend NOT reading that, or any of the hidden abilites!

Fey Figure

You are smaller than the average being, slightly see-through, and purply in hue.

👀Spoiler Info
  • You are around 1.7 blocks tall, the same height as an armor stand.
  • Your transparency level is based on which state you are in. (See the description for Umbral Shift for more details)
    • Sunscorched: Transparancy Level 32%
    • Moonstruck: Transparancy Level 64%
    • Tempered: Transparancy Level 48%
    • Waterfizzled: Transparancy Level 16%
Graceful Descent

You naturally descend at a slower speed, greatly reducing damage taken from falling.

👀Spoiler Info
  • You have a fall velocity of 0.022
  • 90% fall damage reduction.
  • You take no damage from falls less than 16 blocks.
Intangible

Your form allows you to phase through other entities, but makes you weaker overall.

Info You only have 6 hearts of health, slightly reduced defense, and deal less melee damage.
👀Spoiler Info
  • You have no entity collision.
  • Your defense is reduced by 15%.
  • Your melee damage is reduced, with the amount depending on which state you are in.
    • Sunscorched: 70% damage reduction.
    • Moonstruck: 40% damage reduction.
    • Tempered: 55% damage reduction.
    • Waterfizzled: 85% damage reduction.
Umbral Shift

Your abilities are entirely dependent on which state you are in. These being: Moon Struck, Sun Scorched, Water Fizzled, and Tempered.

👀Spoiler Info
  • Most other powers utilize this system to determine how they should function.
  • Each state has visual indicators to help dicern between them.
    • Sunscorched: You shake, and emit a low frequency of end_rod particles.
    • Moonstruck: You emit both enchant, and a high frequency of end_rod particles.
    • Tempered: You emit a moderate amount of end_rod particles.
    • Waterfizzled: You shake, and emit both bubble_column_up and dust particles.
Phases of the Moon

Each phase of the moon grants a unique effect.

👀Spoiler Info
  • Full Moon: luck with an amplifier of 2.
  • Waning Gibbous: resistance with an amplifier of 1.
  • Third Quarter: jump_boost with an amplifier of 1.
  • Waning Crescent: absorption which is only active when you are full health.
  • New Moon: invisibility
  • Waxing Crescent strength

Lunar Wail (Primary)

At night, call upon the power of the moon to unleash a debilitating attack.

👀Spoiler Info
  • Has a 7 second cooldown.
  • Upon hitting an entity, it will launch it back, deal 2.5 hearts of indirect_magic damage and apply the following effects for 10 seconds:
    • weakness
    • slowness with an amplifier of 3.
    • mining_fatigue
    • glowing
Illusion Break (Secondary)

Regress to nothing but a cloud of mist for a short period of time. While in this state you are more evasive and less visible to mobs, but cannot wear armor or alter the world around you in any way.

👀Spoiler Info
  • Lasts for 6 seconds.
  • Launches you forward.
  • 50% less mob agro range.

  • You cannot interact with any block, item, or entity, and will drop any armor equipped.
  • You gain the following effects:
    • speed
    • invisibility
    • weakness with an amplifier of 10.
    • Exhaustion rate and how it functions is depentant on what state you are in.
      • Sunscorched: Every tick you exhaust by 0.2.
      • Moonstruck: You do not exhaust and can swim through the air by spriting.
      • Tempered: Every tick you exhaust by 0.1.
      • Waterfizzled: Every tick you exhaust by 0.4 and will rise to the surface as if you were in a bubble column.
    • KNOWN BUG🪲 When spawning into a world and selecting your origin for the very first time (not through using an orb_of_origin or commands), you start the world in this state. To compensate for this you spawn in with additional saturation.
Restorative Blight

You are incapable of digesting any foods and thus unable to naturally regenerate health.

Alternative Energy

You slowly replenish hunger and health when exposed to the moon, and can absorb the energy stored within crystals and shards.

    • amethyst_shard: Replenishes 0.5 hearts and 0.5 hunger
