More horses

More horses is a very simple horse mod made by a single person. It was made for horse lovers.

It adds many horses, including 29 different breeds and 655 unique coats. The coats are made using real horse coats. Some of them are realistic, others not. The mod is basic and may have bugs. It has 128x textures.

The mod is compatible with the majority of other mods, including other horse mods.

Version:

The mod is currently available for Minecraft 1.16.5. It is only for Forge.

Development:

There will be no version for Fabric. In addition, the mod could be released for other versions in the future, but it is not our objective at the moment. There will be no backport for older versions. There will be more content with newer versions.

Mod information:

You can tame horses by feeding them horse food. They can also breed that way. Horses eat grass and horse food around them. They need to be in a pasture. You can place hay blocks and straw blocks in their stall as well. Unicorns need golden apples in order to be tamed and bred. They are very fast and don't take fall damage. Their horns can be used to obtain diamonds. 

Jump system : horses automatically jump 1 block. If you want to do horse jumping, you’ll need to place obstacle gateways. Make stairs using gateways to make the horse jump the obstacle.

Breeding : you can breed horses to get more horses, however, they won't be foals. Foals are separate entities that were made for fun. They will not grow up.

If you hit a horse, it will strike you back. When killed, animals drop different kinds of meat depending on their species. Bigger horses drop better meat. Horses and other animals can be found in many biomes, depending on their breed. Each breed has different stats. Some horses are faster than others.

Recipes:

The mods adds obstacles and other items that can be crafted. There are also new recipes for vanilla items like saddles, name tags and horse armors. We recommend you to install JEI in order to see the recipes in game.

Upcoming features:

We plan to add other breeds and coats. We might add other magical horses, such as pegasus, donkey and zebra unicorns.
