About
Description
mORE expands Minecraft’s underground by adding a variety of new Ores, with more resource-based ores planned for future updates.*
If you enjoy mining and want easier access to items that are normally annoying to gather, or simply just enjoy the thrill of mining, then this mod is definitely for you!
What It Currently Adds:
The current mod focuses on Dye Ores, Nether Ores, End Ores and More Overworld Ores.
1. Each Dye color has its own ore type that generates naturally in the Overworld.
- Mining a Dye Ore (located between Y -40 and Y 20) gives you a raw dye.
- Smelt it into the corresponding dye via furnace or blast furnace.
- Each ore acts like a normal resource block with no extra mechanics.
2. Each Nether Ore comes in either Coal, Copper, Diamond, Emerald, Iron, Lapis Lazuli, Redstone or Gold, found in the Nether.
- Mining a Nether Ore (located between Y 40 and Y 11) gives you its corresponding resource.
- If mined with Silk Touch, it can still be smelted in a furnace or blast furnace.
- Each ore acts like a normal resource block with no extra mechanics.
3. Each End Ore comes in either Coal, Copper, Diamond, Emerald, Iron, Lapis Lazuli, Redstone or Gold, found in the End.
- Mining an End Ore (located between Y 50 and Y 0) gives you its corresponding resource.
- If mined with Silk Touch, it can still be smelted in a furnace or blast furnace, as usual.
- Since the End could be considered a "dangerous" dimension, the ores here can give double the maximum amount of the usual variations!
- Each ore acts like a normal resource block with no extra mechanics.
4. The New Overworld Ores are the Overworld Variants of Ancient Debris and Quartz.
- Mining an Overworld Ancient Debris Ore (located between Y -64 and Y 0) has a chance to give you Ancient Debris, or nothing at all!
- Mining an Overworld Quartz Ore (located between Y -16 and Y 48) gives you its corresponding resource.
- If mined with Silk Touch, it can still be smelted in a furnace or blast furnace, as usual.
- Each ore acts like a normal resource block with no extra mechanics.
What This Mod Is For
This mod is mainly quality-of-life. It won't have any big progression changes, just more resources through mining.
Future Plans*
More ore types are planned, including:
- Ores for the Nether and End (DONE!)
- Other similar resource ores for items that are usually annoying to craft (IN PROGRESS)
- A huge "maybe", but an ore dimension.
(NOTE: Sad to say, but it's very unlikely I will make an ore dimension. I don't think it fits well into what I want this mod to be.)
I am still new to modding, so you may run into occasional bugs. If you find issues or have suggestions for new ores, I’d love to hear your feedback!
