More Reasonable Recipes in Minecraft
Data Packs were introduced to vanilla Minecraft in version 1.13 and allow the server to modify data about the game, or run commands. Data Packs are compatible with all mod loaders.
Forge is a popular mod loader for versions 1.1+ of Minecraft.
Neoforge is a fork of the Minecraft Forge available for versions 1.20.1+ of Minecraft. Many Forge mods are compatible with Neoforge and vice versa.
Fabric is a mod loader for versions 1.14+ of Minecraft, particularly popular for client side and optimization mods.
Quilt is a fork of the Fabric mod loader. Many Fabric mods are compatible with Quilt and vice versa.

More Reasonable Recipes
A comprehensive Minecraft mod and datapack designed to overhaul the vanilla crafting system. It fixes illogical resource ratios, introduces missing recipes, and unlocks the full potential of functional blocks like the Stonecutter and Blast Furnace.
Fully packaged and compatible across Datapack, Forge, NeoForge, Fabric, and Quilt.
🛠️ Recipe Overhauls & Balances
- Stairs: Craft 4 stairs using only 3 blocks (down from 6) using a more compact 2×2 grid layout.
- Signs: Craft 1 sign using 1 wooden slab and 1 stick for a material-accurate recipe.
- Carpets: Craft 6 carpets using 2 wool blocks (increased from 3).
- Glass Panes: Rebalanced to yield 12 glass panes from 4 glass blocks for an optimized material ratio.
- Cut Copper: Craft 16 cut copper directly from 4 copper blocks.
- Slabs: Added a new 2-block-to-4-slab recipe, and implemented vertical 2-slab uncrafting back into 1 full block.
✨ New Crafting Mechanics & Utilities
- Woodworking Stonecutter: Wood blocks can now be processed in the stonecutter to easily shape slabs, stairs, and fences.
- Log Bark Stripping: Effortlessly strip bark off logs using the stonecutter.
- Copper Scraping & Wax Removal: Remove oxidation and wax layers from copper blocks via the stonecutter interface.
- Block Deconstruction: Break down compression blocks (Coral, Quartz, Ice, Dripstone, Amethyst, etc.) back into their raw components using the stonecutter.
- Metal Recycling: Blast Furnaces can now smelt down damaged/old metal equipment and tools back into their respective ingots or nuggets.
- Wool Smelting: Smelt colored wool in a regular furnace to extract its corresponding dye.
- Flexible Container Alternative: Chests, hoppers, and shulker boxes can now be crafted using Barrels as a valid wooden container alternative.
- Craftable Chainmail Armor: Chainmail armor pieces are now fully craftable using Chains.
- Renewable Deepslate: Cobblestone can be smelted in a blast furnace to transform into Deepslate, making it fully renewable.
